The 3.8-litre V6 engine features a Sprintex S3/335 supercharger kit running 6.5psi of boost pressure developing peak power of 230kW at 5250rpm and 442Nm at 4000rpm.
Serious numbers
With two people on board and eschewing flat shifts the TMR hits 100km/h in a tad over 5.0 seconds. 160km/h takes about 11.6sec.
The in-gear times tell an even more impressive story. In fourth, the TMR 220 covers 80-120km/h in 3.5sec, a feat few V8s can manage in third.
Clearly, if there's an overtaking opportunity on the near horizon, or a catapult from one opening left hander to the next hard right, this car's going to be working with the driver.
Motorsport Braking Power
You can’t help but stare a little longer than you’d expect at the large 19” chrome wheels there to serve an awesome purpose: there simply aren’t too many wheels available that can fit over the truly massive 370mm brakes on the TMR 380. The brakes wouldn’t be out of place in competitive motorsport - dinner-plate-sized 370-32mm hat-mounted two piece construction rotors, with their grooved fish-hook design and massive 6 piston callipers that could clamp down and stop time itself.
